| Ok, so, people, lent has come and gone.
What I want to know is how and why you spend it.
Personally, I spend the lenten season normally, I go on with my day to day life. I don't mind following tradition every once in a while though.
But, come the Easter Triduum, I always participate in the "Salubong" Even though, Personally I think it makes no sense to go on a procession just to say, HERE I AM, BANAL AKO, TIGNAN NINYO AKO. Because, I have seen people who do this. They stand near the front of the procession, showing off to friends.
For me, that just proves how much we've sunk into sin. If we are just going to attend for the publicity, then don't attend at all. It ruins the solemnity of the procession. Same goes for the works of charity done by government officials. They do it for the publicity, I hope that one day, a leader will put up something like this. A Project of: The People of Biñan, not putting his/her own name there.
How I wish, that someone like that will come from our generation.
So, Back to the question, How and why do you spend your lenten season? | |

| If you must know, I spent lenten season normally. Even though I read the station of the cross in our procession, I still spent it normally, with family.
About what you said about lent, you're right. Some people take the advantage of getting attention from saying they are holy. It's sick.
Lent is a season of repentance and a time to humble ourselves but some do just the opposite. I just hope that people will understand the true meaning of lent.
BTW: Great topic | |
